Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Big Oak Lane and Banks Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning, February 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Banks Road near Big Oak Lane.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into the trees.

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, patient stabilization where needed, and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a gray Dodge RAM Pick Up was traveling on Banks Road and left the roadway striking a tree causing significant damage.  The Banks Road area was closed for the duration of the incident. There were not any injuries associated with the accident.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
