Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - Smoke detector

On Wednesday, July 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm (residential smoke detector) on Piping Plover Drive in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a residential smoke alarm called in by the alarm company with a foyer hallway smoke detector activation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

It appears after a second callback from the alarm company to the homeowner that the incident was a culinary mishap with the proper passcode provided.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
