Nature: Small Outside Fire

Address: Marsh Rd and Killdeer Lane Pots Nets Bayside, DE 19966

On Wednesday, July 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire on Marsh Road and Killdeer Lane in the Pot Nets Bayside development. It was reported to be a firecracker thrown into the marshy area and now smoking.

Emergency response units included Brush 80-0 and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility. 

Emergency response crew assignments included initial suppression assignments and then area saturation to prohibit any additional concerns. Tanker 80 was cancelled while responding to the incident.

It appears that an area of grass and marshland were involved with a small fire.  The overall area of concern should be monitored because of the windy conditions

No additional apparatus was needed.
