Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, April 11^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway near Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be three vehicle incident and unknown on injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.   Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization where necessary, traffic control with the closure of John J. Williams Highway between Banks Road and Long Neck Road fluid and debris recovery, patient evaluation, and other incident mitigation activities.

It appears that a blue Toyota Highlander traveling westbound struck the rear of a white Chevrolet Pick-up and which struck the rear of a utility box truck.  All persons refused any additional emergency medical services.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the traffic control assignment.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
