Nature: Vehicle Accident

Address:  Bay Farm Rd and Fowlers Path Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Friday, March 22^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Bay Farm Road in the vicinity of Peninsula Lakes development.  It was reported to be a two vehicle rear-end type collision.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as incident mitigation.

It appears at white Mazda compact car was struck from behind by a white Chevrolet Equinox on Bay Farm Road.  All occupants were evaluated by emergency medical services from the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
