Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 30063 Piping Plover Dr Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, the March 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Piping Plover Drive in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior 360 evaluation to identify conditions and location of utilities as well as an interior evaluation to identify the source of the alarm sounding.

It was determined to be an instance of chirping and attempting to change batteries and the alarms was activated and could not be reset.  After assistance, the homeowners were apprised to contact their respective alarm company for resolution.

All units were authorized to return to quarters.
