Nature: Gas Leak (Natural and LP Gases)

On Saturday afternoon, March 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak issue on Congress Drive in the Holiday Pines development off Friendship Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation, determination of any gas meter readings, natural ventilation which was already being performed upon arrival and evaluation of residential occupants because of feeling sick. 

The residential occupants did identify the recent installation of a new gas appliance which was evaluated further.  There were not any gas meter readings and all occupants refused additional medical observation.

All units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
