Story

Nature: Firefighters Helping Injured Firefighter

Location: Captains Grant

Over the past month, a cohort of members from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company assisted a local resident within the community who has been hospitalized from an unfortunate accident and overall declining health.

The resident has been a long standing member of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and served as one of our fire police officers and has been very active in the community over the years.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company takes pride in being a dedicated organization committed to serving and protecting.  With a long-standing history of unwavering commitment and exceptional service to others, Indian River pursued this initiative to meet the needs of its member pending release from a local rehabilitation establishment.

This assignment was to design and erect an accessible ramp for access and egress into the residential structure.

Illustrated herewith are some photographs of this initiative.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to ‘thank’ the dedicated personnel for their expertise, diligence, and dedication to bring this project to completion.  Additionally, our corporate sponsors have been tremendous with their respective assistance as well.
