Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 30161 Piping Plover Dr Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Thursday, December 28th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Piping Plover Drive in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a smoke detector in the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #82-3 from the Lewes Fire Department.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation of the residential structure.  Both engines were assigned to stage at the nearby hydrants.

All crews were permitted to returned to their respective stations after determination is was a faulty alarm.
