Nature: Brush Fire

Location: Hersel Davis Rd and Chief Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, December 14^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a brush fire on Hersel Davis Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation and education regarding control burn procedures.

It appears that a residential building lot was being cleared for pending construction initiatives.  It was a control burn incident and the parties were apprised of the proper burning procedures and as well as contacting DNREC to ascertain appropriate permits if needed.

All units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
