Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, November 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Oak Orchard Road.  It was reported to be a head-on collision at the intersection involving two vehicles.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation efforts.

Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage and were rendered inoperable. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinate limited traffic patterns through the intersection for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
