Over the past week, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company have been extremely busy preparing food for two significant functions for the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.

On Tuesday evening, October 24th, the Ladies Auxiliary prepared a sit down dinner for a contingency of fire company personnel and selected invited guest during the Annual Installation of elected officers for the Sussex County Volunteer Firefighters Association, the Sussex County Fire Chiefs Association, and the Sussex County Fire Police Association.  Approximately 150 persons attended these swearing ceremonies and additional information may be obtained by viewing - https://irvfc.com/gallery/detail/49088?ss=1

On Saturday, October 28th, the Ladies Auxiliary hosted a fried chicken dinner at our Station #1 facility.

The pick-up / drive thru event commenced at approximately 2:30 p.m. with a line forming at 2:00 p. and closed at 4 p.  We would like to thank each and every patron for their patience, polite and pleasant personality.  Thank you for your patronage.

The dine-in phase of the event commences at 4:30 p. and continues thru 6:30 p.m.

Indian River believes that our recent adjustments have been extremely beneficial and allows us to better accommodate the community demand.

The fried chicken dinner included mashed potatoes, coleslaw, beets, green beans, bread and butter and dessert.  The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company will continue to enhance and adjust these dinner events to best accommodate the demand.  There were approximately 175 dinners during the drive thru phase and 40 persons in attendance for the dine in phase of this event.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to acknowledge the patronage and thank you for the support and hopes that you will return for future events.

Thank you for your continued support.
