Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: Lingo Creek Apartments (80) hydrant @ 32977

Address:  32980 Shoppes At Long Neck Blvd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident at Lingo Creek Apartments.  It was reported to be a water flow incident.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included in external evaluation of the facility with nothing evident, and interior evaluation of the pump room with nothing evident as well as an overall evaluation.  Responding first responders were awaiting available maintenance personnel to bring these operational concerns to closure.  Indian River was successful with silencing the alarm.

All units were permitted to return to quarters with notification to the Emergency Operational Center to continue pursuit of maintenance personnel.
