Nature: Fire Police

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, October 20^th, the Delaware State Fire Police assigned to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to assist the Delaware State Police with traffic control at the intersection of Long Neck Road and John J. Williams Highway.  This was the scene of a reported hit and run vehicle accident rendering one dark blue Chevrolet Pick up inoperable.

It appears that a dark blue Chevrolet Pick Up was struck by a lifted dark colored Ford Pick Up that fled south on Long Neck Road.  The Chevrolet was disabled at the intersection.

The Delaware State Fire Police assigned with traffic control for the duration of the incident.  Other assistance included fluid and debris recovery from the travel lanes of the intersection as well as assisting the towing company where needed.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
