Indian River Attends American Legion Post 28 - 9/11 Memorial Service

On Monday, September 11th, members from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company attended the 9/11 Memorial Service at the American Legion Post #28 near Oak Orchard.

The American Legion Post #28 members and invited guest gathered today to pay their respects for the 343 fallen firefighters on 09/11 and many others with injuries afterwards. The theme of the event was “Healing Remembrance – A time of healing and remembrance for those lost on and affected by the events of September 11, 2001.”   This was a candlelight ceremony.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to acknowledge and thank the American Legion Post #28 for hosting such an event.
