Nature: Traffic Collision

Address: Silicato Dr and Indian Mission Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday afternoon, August 3rd, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire departments, Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad, and Sussex County Paramedics were alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Indian Mission Road and Silicato Drive. It was reported to be a three vehicle accident, with entrapment.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.  Upon the arrival of emergency responders, it was determined there was no occupant entrapment and no occupants wishing to be evaluated.

Emergency response crew assignments included fluid and debris recovery and traffic control.

Emergency response units from Lewes were cancelled prior to arrival at the incident location.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
