Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Sandpiper Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning, July 26^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Sandpiper Drive.  It was reported to the be two vehicle rear end type collision with one occupant desiring to be evaluated.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

It appears that a dark blue Saturn Vue and a white GMC Terrain collided on John J. Williams Highway causing rear end damage to the Terrain and front end damage to the Vue.  One vehicle occupant wanted to be evaluated by emergency medical response personnel.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
