Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: Holly Lake Campsites (80)

On Friday afternoon, June 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident at the Holly Lake Campsite new office complex. It was reported to be an issue in the electrical room.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and monitoring.  It was determined to be a faulty smoke detector activation and place on officer’s call for the next 24 hours.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.
