Nature: Automatic Crash Notification

Location: Indian Mission Rd and Silicato Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, June 22^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road and Silicato Drive.  The incident was reported via the automatic crash notification system on one of the cellular phone devices.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and vehicle stabilization.  There were no occupant injuries.

It appears that a grey Toyota RAV4 and a white Ford Edge collided at the intersection of Silicato Drive and Indian Mission Road causing damage to both vehicles.  There were no injuries associated with the mishap.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control pending arrival of a tow truck.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
