Nature: RALLY For Our First Responders – Second Annual Event

Location: Hudson Fields

 

On Sunday, May 21st, the Shaffer Family Foundation hosted their Second Annual – RALLY for our First Responders Event at Hudson Fields to benefit the following organizations:

  • Lewes (82) Fire Department

  • Rehoboth Beach (86) Volunteer Fire Company

  • Milton (85) Volunteer Fire Company

  • Indian River (80) Volunteer Fire Company

  • Georgetown (77) Volunteer Fire Company

  • Delaware State Police – Camp Barnes

  • Delaware Police Chiefs Foundation

  • Fit 4 Duty Foundation

  • Concerns of Police Survivors

  • Sussex County Paramedic Association

The event hosted AMAZING Live Bands that entertained for the entirety of the event, as well as children's activities, many food trucks, adult beverage, vendors not to mention OUR FIRST RESPONDERS with demonstrations such as:

  • K-Demos

  • Mounted Police

  • DSP Helicopter

  • Fire Trucks and support vehicles

  • Police Vehicles and support vehicles

  • And sooo much more!!!

Based upon the incldement weather the RAIN Date was activated -- Sunday, May 21st from NOON-6pm (gates open at 11:30am)!!!

The food trucks included:

  • DaNizza WFP Rehoboth

  • First State Corn 

  • Pretzelvania

  • Taco Reho

  • SmashMouth Burgers

  • Fat Vinnys Food Truck

  • Hot Dogs at the Beach

  • The Tipsy Flamingo

  • Funnel Cake Kraze and

  • Sweet AF

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company utilized the opportunity to promote fire prevention and golf cart safety awareness initiatives.  Illustrated herewith are various photographs of the event’s activities.
