Nature: Water Rescue – Indian River Yacht Club

Location: 31398 River Road Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday, May 2^nd, there was a mariner in distress and needed assistance off 31398 River Road in the vicinity of the Indian River Yacht Club. 

Incident Command 80-10 and Chief 80-15 reported to the area and witnessed TowBoat US assisting the mariner to the Gull Point Public Boat Ramp.

It appears that the mariner departed from the Gull Point Boat Ramp and his motor quit running while the wind continued to push the boat further east towards the Indian River Yacht Club.  TowBoat US was able to assist without any other assistance.  

The mariner was successfully towed back to the Gull Point Ramp and was able to place the vessel back onto its trailer and depart the area.
