Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Friday, April 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Nanticoke Crossing Shopping Center causing minor damage to all vehicles involved.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization if needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that all vehicles were traveling westbound on John J. Williams Highway approaching the traffic light with the Nissan Altima SL striking the rear of the Toyota Prius which hit the rear of the Honda Pilot.  All vehicles sustained extremely minor vehicle damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
