Story

Indian River Recognizes Volunteers

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted its Annual Firefighter & Ladies Auxiliary Appreciation Banquet to acknowledge and thank its volunteer first responders which included but not limited to Ladies Auxiliary officers and members, fire company administrative officers, fire line officers, fire police officers, top incident responders, duty crew personnel, and apparatus engineers.

As Indian River embarks on its 70th year in the volunteer fire and rescue services we are thankful for the volunteers that has assisted us with the fire services and fundraising initiatives as well as consistently responding to a growing number of emergency incidents within our fire district.

In Calendar Year 2022, Indian River responded to a total of 472 emergency alerts which does not include EMS services and these numbers are increasing as our fire district becomes engrossed with greater density.

Indian River VFC continues to say “Thank you” for the acts of courage and endless periods of volunteerism from all personnel.

Illustrated herewith are some photographs to highlight the evening’s activities.
