Story

Indian River Recognizes Richard Robbins

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company held its Annual Firefighter & Ladies Auxiliary Appreciation Banquet and announced the recipient for President’s Award Recipient for Calendar Year 2022.

The President’s Award category was established to recognize a firefighter or fire company member that has served our community by volunteering and in many cases exceeding expectations with perseverance, commitment, dedication, and hard-work in order to complete the assigned tasks regardless of the nature of the request.

The award is intended to highlight the accomplishments and dedication of a member who has attempted to contribution continual amounts of assistance, patience and devotion to the community for which he resides and has parlayed “participation” in many areas of community service and working behind the scenes for little or no recognizition, compensation, and/or respect.  This awardee has served our community and organization for many years.

Volunteerism and community pride are milestones that have been passed down through generations and this recipient is not any different.

Since joining Indian River’s volunteer fire service in April 2012, this nominee has provided assistance and guidance serving as Chairman of the Building Rental Committee, serving on the Adopt the Highway Committee, assisting with the Fire Prevention Committee, volunteering at many breakfast and dinner events, and having more than 11 years of volunteering with the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in ancillary support positions.  His commitment to hard-work and being a thoughtful member of the volunteer fire service has been greatly appreciated while always stepping in to help when needed.

Therefore, I am pleased to acknowledge these efforts and introduce the 2022 Recipient of the President’s Award as our friend for just helping out when needed but being able to count on him to get the job completed.  “Thank you” for assisting and volunteering within the fire service for more than 10 years.  Most of all “thank you” for being a trusted and committed volunteer while assisting the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.

Please join us in recognizing our friend – Richard Robbins as the 2022 Recipient of the President’s Award.

Congratulations and thank you your continued assistance to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company!
