Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment

Location: 19392 Beaver Dam Rd Lewes, DE 19958

Early Friday December 30^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a vehicle accident rollover and entrapment on Beaver Dam Road.   

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included assistance with vehicle extrication measures.

It appears that a Jeep Gladiator style vehicle struck a utility pole on Beaver Dam Road causing rollover and significant damage with occupant entrapment.

The Delaware State Fire Police were requested to close Beaver Dam Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
