Polaris PRO XD 4000G All-terrain Vehicle

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce the activation of a new Polaris PRO XD 4000G all-terrain vehicle to assist with brush, field and agriculture related incidents within our immediate fire district as well as neighboring fire districts.

This vehicle’s procurement was a collaborative funding agreement via our elected officials which include:  State Senators Gerald Hocker and Brian Pettyjohn and State Representatives Pete Schwartzkopf, Ruth Briggs-King, Steve Smyk and Rich Collins and the fire company. This unit will be identified UTV 80-2.  The unit specifications are a 2022 Polaris PRO XD 4000G On-Demand 4x4; ProStar 1,000 cc Engine; Gasoline Electronic Fuel Injection system; Automatic PVT Transmission - Shaft Driven; 4-Wheel Hydraulic Disc Brakes with Dual-Bore Front Calipers; Standard 2” Hitch Receiver; All Digital Gauges including speedometer, odometer, tachometer, tripmeters, hour meter, gear indicator, differential lock indicator, and clock; Tempered Glass Windshield and Rear Window; Windshield Wiper & Washer System; Poly Roof 4 passenger model; Pulse Roof Busbar; fire extinguisher; All Wheel Drive Mode Select Switch; Firelite Transport SuperMax FST-204; Hannay Electric Reel; Viper Nozzle; Scotty Foam System with 5 gallon cell; 85 gallon water poly tank; forestry hose; Honda GX 270 13 HP electric start fire suppression pump; Emergency lighting package; skid plates; and other amenities.  The graphics and lettering for the vehicle was designed and coordinated by Rogers Signs of Milton, Delaware.

These vehicles have proven to be extremely successful with fire prevention, fire response, search and rescue, large public gatherings, etc.  These units give your emergency first responders the vehicles they need to respond to fires, disasters and other emergencies quickly and effectively, especially in hard to reach areas.
