Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Banks Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

Additional Information:  Possibly 3 patients

On Saturday evening, November 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Banks Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle incident with the possible of three (3) patients.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a silver Chevrolet Cruze was attempting to turn left from John J. Williams Highway when it was struck from behind by a black Ford Focus causing damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with closure of John J. Williams Highway for the duration of the incident. 

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
