Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Phillips Branch Rd and Hollymount Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Saturday morning, November 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Phillips Branch Road and Hollymount Road.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into a tree.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, incident mitigation efforts and assistance where needed.  Engine #80-3 was authorized to return to their respective station prior to arrival at the incident.

It appears that a white Chevrolet Colorado pick up left the roadway and hit a patch of trees.  There were minor injuries and the occupant refused additional EMS assistance.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
