Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 27146 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday morning, October 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the away of Magenta Lane.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into a tree.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a maroon Ford compact car was traveling on John J. Williams Highway and left the roadway for an unknown reason traveling through nearby yards and striking a tree.  One occupant was transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
