Nature: Fire Drill / Fire Prevention Activities

Location: Long Neck Elementary School

On Monday, October 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in collaboration with the Long Neck Elementary School commenced with the annual fire prevention program offering fire prevention educational and safety initiatives to enhance awareness.

These activities commenced with a simulated fire drill at the school location and then the fire company offered an opportunity for the grade specific children to see a fire truck up close and review their myriad of tools and equipment for fire suppression.

Each group of children evaluated and reviewed the apparatus with a brief presentation regarding the operational need and purpose of the equipment and apparatus.
