Nature: Fuel Spill

Location: Lot S-36 / Fuel Leak

Address: Prowler St and Airstream St Leisure Point, DE 19966

On Saturday evening, October 15^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a hazardous condition incident in Leisure Point between Prowler and Airstream Street

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and #80-3 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation and identification for the source of the leak.

It was identified to be an active fuel spill from the fuel tank of a motor vehicle.  The majority of the other responding emergency response units from cancelled from the incident.   A towing company was contacted to remove the vehicle from the incident location.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with the incident.
