Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Saturday, October 15^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the entrance to Royal Farms. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignment included vehicle stabilization, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a blue sedan and a silver Ford F150 pick up collided at the entrance to Royal Farms.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
