Nature: Gas Leak

Location: CLOSEST HYDRANT ON MAP BLACKBIRD & TRIBUTARY

On Saturday afternoon, October 15^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak incident on Flycatcher Court in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road. It was reported to be resident / contractor cut a gas leak while digging in the yard for a residence under construction.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crews monitored the situation and made sure ample water was placed within the digging area and notified the respective utility service provider to respond to the incident.

The utility service provider did respond and performed the necessary actions to mitigate the situation.

All emergency units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
