Story

Burton Heritage Farm Hosted First Responder Appreciation Event

On Saturday, September 17th, the Burton Heritage Farm hosted their inaugural Annual First Responders Day at the farmstand on Indian Mission Road near Friendship Road commencing at 10:00 a.m.

There were displays and demonstrations from the Delaware State Police, the Sussex County Paramedics, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, the Millsboro Fire Company, the Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad and more.

Burton Farm Heritage wanted to offer the opportunity to meet and interact with those who serve our community through their role as first responders.

There were food trucks and vendors on hand, including Taste of Heaven Island Jerk, Rita's Italian Water Ice, Flippin Waffles, and more!

Indian River hosted its Fire Prevention cohort and offered various safety messages for fire safety and fire prevention.

Thank you to everyone that stopped by and joined us!
