Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Sun Outdoors - Rehoboth Bay formerly Masseys Landing Campground

On Saturday, September 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at Sun Outdoors – Rehoboth Bay formerly Massey’s Landing.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2 and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization if needed, occupant stabilization where needed, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a grey golf cart with possibly four occupants overturned while traversing in the campground facilities.  One occupant was evaluated and transported to nearby medical facilities while the other occupants did not remain at the incident location.   Trooper 2 and the remaining ingoing apparatus were cancelled while responding to the incident location.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance at the incident location and on Long Neck Road.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
