Nature: Fire Prevention Display – Cordrey Center / RSC Landscaping

Location: Cordrey Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

For many Spring is one of the most exciting times of the year! After a long, cold and never wanting to end winter season, the first sign of spring life starts to appear while all of the remnants of winter quickly turn green -- the longer days, the warmer temperatures, the blooming plants, and the many benefits of outdoor activities commence.

On Saturday, April 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company attended the Cordrey Center to promote fire safety, fire prevention, and overall fire service awareness during one of the public community events. Indian River provided apparatus for display, questions and answer forum for any interested patron(s), promoted public awareness commentary, and performed basic fire prevention and fire safety commentary.

Indian River unveiled its latest public relations concept which is a full sized mannequin in full firefighter attire. This overall intent of this project is to promote firefighter awareness from many aspects which include: “friendly firefighter,” firefighter protective equipment cost, and other information traits.

Illustrated herewith are some fire safety tips that will help ensure a fire free entrance to this spring season:
