The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company received this kindness rock at our Station #1 in Oak Orchard.

What are kindness rocks?

With the rock painting craze in high gear, you may be wondering what are kindness rocks anyway?

Kindness rocks is a viral rocks project trend where people, paint rocks or stones with inspirational messages or sayings. There is even a site dedicated to it, The Kindness Rocks Project!

The Kindness Rock Project is a viral trend where people, commonly children, paint pebbles or cobbles and leave them for others to find and collect. Photos of the painted rocks and hints of where to find them are commonly shared on Facebook groups.

By leaving these painted rocks in public places for people to find you can brighten a strangers day with a random act of kindness. 

Their Mission –  “ONE MESSAGE AT JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT CAN CHANGE SOMEONE’S ENTIRE DAY, OUTLOOK, LIFE.”
