Monday February, 16 2015 @ 12:01 Nature: Alarm Company Location: Cedar Tree Medical Center Address: 32711 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday, February 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm at the Cedar Tree Medical Center. It was reported to have an active water leak within the ceiling area with the ceiling grid starting to collapse. Emergency response units from Indian River include Tanker 80, Rescue 80, and Utility 80 from the Oak Orchard site as well as Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck site. Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation with water main shut-off to facility as well as assisting with extricating the water and debris from the interior of the commercial structure. The fire alarm was silenced as a result of being activated by the water flow incident. The public water utilities were notified as was the alarm company. The commercial entity has retained professional services regarding the restoration phase of the project. An adjacent structure also suffered water pipe breakage and the public utility company was notified. |
