Saturday January, 10 2015 @ 04:16 Nature: House Fire Location: 19500-19899 Norwood St Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 On Saturday morning, January 10th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working structure fire. This incident was originally reported as a brush fire to the Rehoboth Emergency Operations Center until initial arriving units identified this as a working structure fire. Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency crew assignments include fire suppression and mitigation activities as well as overhaul and clean-up. The Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigatimg. The fire was first reported as a brush fire, but as crews arrived to the scene, they learned it was actually a mobile home on fire in the 19000-block of Norwood Street. No word on any injuries from the fire and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
