Nature: Structure Fire

On Thursday afternoon, June 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire at the Royal Farm on John J. Williams Highway. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and mitigation, crew found cooking unit in the kitchen area had malfunction, the alarm system was sounding, HVAC contractor was working on the roofing systems, and an electrical phase for the incoming service was dropped. 

Mitigation efforts included notification of the electric company for corrective action, notification of the alarm service provider, and closure of the store until corrective action with the sounding alarm.

All fire units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
