Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 35398 Sussex Ln Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, December 27^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Sussex Lane in the Mariner’s Cove development off of Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a working alarm.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, as well as the Delaware State Fire Police, and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Emergency response units arrived on scene and reported nothing visible from the exterior of the single wide manufactured structure. 

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation and identification of the source. 

It was determined to be dryer fire inside the residence.  All other responding apparatus from Millsboro and Lewes were cancelled.

The dryer unit was removed from the structure and all responding units were returned to quarters.
