Nature: Electrical Hazard

On Saturday evening, May 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an electrical hazard on Knoll Way in the Mariners Cove development off Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews found an uprooted tree which had lifted an underground electrical transformer and utility phone box along with the tree resting on a nearby vehicle.

Notification was made to Delaware Electric Cooperative to respond to secure the power and make any needed repairs.

Rescue 80 was returned while responding for any other emergencies in the district if needed.
