Local firefighters quell a two-house fire incident in Rehoboth Beach

On Monday evening, November 10th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Milton (85) volunteer fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working structure fire in the Sea Air Village development off of Coastal Highway. It was reported to be a working alarm with exposures to other nearby residential structures.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-1 and Tanker #80-4 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts by assisting with fire suppression tactics include roof ventilation measures as well as other tanks.

The fire did spread to nearby residential structures and is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshal.
