Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 32000 Long Bow Ct Sherwood Forest North, DE 19966

On Friday morning, February 11^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82) and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Long Bow Court in the Sherwood Forest development of John J. Williams Highway. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.  The incident was downgraded to a single company dispatch and the box alarm was discontinued.

Emergency response crews evaluated residence and learned that the incident was caused by a culinary mishap with the inability to shut off the alarm system until the contracting company arrived.

All units were cleared and returned to their respective stations.
