Sunday January, 30 2022 @ 05:48Nature: Structure FireLocation: 113 East Fourth St Lewes, DE 19958On Sunday, January 30th, the Indian River (80), Rehoboth Beach (86), and Milton (85) fire companies were alerted to assist the Lewes Fire Department with a structure fire on East Fourth Street in Lewes.Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility which was diverted to provide a cover up assignment for Lewes Fire Department.Emergency response units from Lewes arrived and identified the fire was in the area of the fireplace on the “D” side of the structure and was running up the exterior wall with fire extension into the walls on the inside of the room. Crew advanced with an aggressive exterior and interior fire suppress attack and quickly knocked down the fire requiring extensive overhaul.Additional information may be obtained by viewing the following website:
