Nature: Stand-by Assignment – Fire Works – Lewes Fire Dept.

Event:  50th Anniversary Celebration – Cape May –Lewes Ferry

 

On Sunday June 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company participated with a pre-arranged stand-by assignment and assisted the Lewes Fire Department by providing fire suppression coverage at various locations within Lewes’ areas of response.

Apparatus response included Engine #80-3; Utility 80; Polaris 80 and Tahoe 80 with designated manpower.

Indian River’s specific area of assignment was within the Delaware State Seashore at the fishing pier as well as the launch site for the fireworks display. 

Indian River was paired EMS groups from the Sussex County Paramedics, Bridgeville’s EMS All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), an ambulance and brush truck from Lewes, as well as various park rangers and park patrol from the DNREC State Park administration.
