Nature: Washdown (Fuel Spill)

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Plaza Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday morning, December 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a washdown incident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Plaza Drive.  It was reported that the fire company was requested by a first responder on scene.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, fluid and debris recovery where needed.

It appears that a DART bus with bicycle on the front rack in tow collided with a grey Honda Civic at the intersection of Plaza Drive and John J. Williams Highway.  There were no reported injuries and the incident only required traffic control and debris clean up.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the traffic control assignment.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
