Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, December 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be car versus motorcycle with the possibility of one patient.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a black Toyota Camry sedan and blue Harley Davidson motorcycle collided at the intersection of the John J. Williams Highway and Bay Farm Road.  The Toyota was attempting to turn left onto Bay Farm Road and the Harley Davidson was traveling east on John J. Williams Highway.

One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and assistance for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
