Can you identify the illegal dumpers?   Suppot DNREC "TrashStoppers"   Call 800-662-8802

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is once again requesting the assistance of the community to identify the recent perpetuators of the illegal dumping activities along roadways in Sussex County.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DNREC) operates a 24-hour toll free hotline, 800-662-8802.  This program is intended to appeal to the public for help in stopping illegal trash dumping along Delaware roadways.

Recently, Oak Orchard Road was the recipient of numerous acts of blatant illegal dumping on the evening immediately after a community Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up effort. Sometime between the evening hours of 10 p.m. Saturday, April 19 and 6 a.m. Sunday, April 20th, truckloads of yard debris and leaves were dumped along the shoulders of Oak Orchard Road.

Any assistance you could to identify the perpetuators of these intentional acts would be greatly appreciated.
