Story

Indian River Delivers Fire Prevention Message to Care A Lot Daycare

On Wednesday, October 27th, Indian River Volunteer Fire Company attended the Care A Lot Daycare on Long Neck Road and provided a fire prevention and safety awareness seminar to staff and students.

While fire prevention activities were significantly reduced or canceled due to COVID-19 safety precautions, the daycare and fire company representatives have kept public safety in mind while coordinating the day’s outside activities.

The outside activities for the children included distribution of age specific fire prevention and safety materials, ask the Chief question and answer session for children, a fire truck display and familiarization process a special fire dog character appearance with reading and distribution of Sprinkles the Fire Dog book, and an individualized photo session with student/staff and the fire dog.

Illustrated herewith are photographs of the activities.
